Late Owner
The late, Mr. Benny Joiner (1950-2021) began his career as an Iron Worker in 1973 with a position at Cowart Iron Works in Midville, Georgia. He was promoted in 1974 to the main office as an Apprentice Detailer. He attended Augusta Technical College where he received his degree in Detailing. His charismatic nature and enthusiasm quickly promoted him to sales and estimating. In 1978, he resigned from Cowart Iron Works and created Joiner & Associates, Inc. He built a successful steel fabrication business and touched countless people with this wit and business suave. He and his wife raised their two children in the home where Joiner & Associates began, and his grandchildren live today. In 2001, Joiner & Associates relocated to a 2,000 square foot fabrication shop and office on 10 acres outside of Louisville, Georgia.
Bookkeeper/Senior Office Manager/Owner (Retired)
Linda Joiner worked with Joiner & Associates, Inc. beginning in 1994 as office manager and bookkeeper. Prior to working with Joiner & Associates, she successfully ran her own business and completed a computer programming degree. She worked as the executive secretary to the president of First National Bank for five years. Then accepted a position at Citizens Bank where she implemented the in-house computer system.

Owner/President of Joiner Steel Erection Company
Ben Joiner, Jr. was interested in construction from the time he could pick up a bolt. Raised in the steel industry, he officially joined the Joiner Steel Erection Company in 2007 as a Field Crew Manager. During his position at Joiner Steel Erection, he simultaneously trained under his father at Joiner & Associates. He learned to read drawings, do layouts, and fabricate structural and miscellaneous steel. For over two decades, he has grown through experience, hard work, and guidance from his father. Ben currently owns and operates both companies with a newly constructed 20,000 square foot shop and Voortman V807, a fully automated plasma cutting beam line. His love for construction, Christ, and his family are inherent and can be seen in the quality and relationships he continues to work with daily.
Executive Office Manager
Cherie Clark founded and ran her own business in commercial and residential flooring at Lake Oconee, Georgia. She has also worked in construction and building supply industry where she managed a major construction and building supply store. She started working with Joiner & Associates in 2011 where she worked with Linda Joiner in office management and bookkeeping. Today she is our Executive Office Manager with exceptional knowledge, experience, proudly, our longest office family members.
Senior Project Manager
Alex Broome started working part time in a family owned structural steel fabrication shop in 1995. He attended Georgia Southern University, where he graduated with a major in Construction Management and a minor in Business in 2005. After college, he worked with H.G. Reynolds Construction Company as an Assistant Superintendent. Alex then returned to work with his father at American Metals, Inc. where he acted as a Project Manager, Purchasing Manager, Quality Assurance Manager, and Management Representative in 2006. In April of 2013, Alex began employment with Joiner & Associates, Inc. as a Project Manager. This year we celebrate a decade of Alex's hard work and detailed ingenuity. He is a significant contribution to the success of Joiner & Associates.
Expert Shop Foreman
Fred Lewis started working with Joiner & Associates in the fabrication shop in 1998. He trained under Benny Joiner learning to read fabrication drawings, layout, and fabricate structural and miscellaneous steel. Fred is a certified welder under the AWSD 1.1 structural welding code. Fred has been acting as the shop foreman and quality insurance inspector since 2002. In 2023, we honorable celebrate Mr. Fred on 25 years of exceptional loyalty and hard work. He has been with J&A since the very early days and his passion and work ethic are just a few of the reasons Joiner & Associates runs as successfully as is does today.
Communications Manager
Casey is Ben's wife and mother to their two children. She has a Bachelor's of Science in Communication and a Minor in Business Law. Her work experience includes six years in the service industry in restaurant and retail sales . After graduation from Kennesaw State University, she worked as a legal assistant in General and Real Estate law. She began with Joiner Steel Erection in 2015, doing administrative duties. Currently, she is maintaining our web presence, marketing, and social media communications.
